LA meets Tokyo!

Hellooo Tokyo!! As one of the fashion capitals of the world, its no wonder why Dee and I were ecstatic to go visit this oh-so trendy city where all the girls are a walking fashion statement.  First item on the agenda … SHOPPING!! Our adventure started off at  Harajuku that included Takeshi Dori market place and the La Foret building, Meji Dori street, Shibuya at the famous 109 building, and ended at Studio Alta in Shinkjuku.

Harajuku is definitely a unique place filled with girls that express their individuality through style and fashion.  The clothing selection ranges from goth, punk, and victorian to the trendy and modern.   Only in Harajuku canyou be greeted by life size stuffed kitty dolls dressed in punk clothing!  While wandering aimlessly through the streets of Harajuku and eating our takoballs … yumyum … we stumbled upon a small street lined with a bunch of cute little boutiques with one of a kind pieces.  A rare find, but we failed to take down the name of this street … darn!

The 109 building in Shibuya was love at first sight … this enormous building is filled with countless shops and carries our “to die for” brands such as MOUSSY, RIENDA, SLY, and RODEO CROWNS.  Some honorable mentions include Glad News, Maison Gilfy, Days of Freedom and Egoist just to name a few.  This shopping paradise took two full glorious days for Dee and I to conquer …

However, this shopping extravaganza was not the highlight of our trip …

Visiting the showrooms that housed ALL of our “to die for” brands was the icing on the cake.  The showrooms were packed with an assortment of styles.  Fashion forward pieces like the zipper front dress, the vertical wavy ruffle skirt, or the small purse shaped like a stud.

Some more pictures of the showroom and other great finds

Can’t wait for the next trip out to Tokyo!!
